Pillows

The best pillow to buy is one that supports your head and neck properly while matching your comfort preferences. Factors like sleeping position, desired firmness, and materials play a significant role. The benefit of Layla’s pillows is that they are fully adjustable, allowing you to customize the loft exactly to your preferences to enjoy long-term comfort and consistent sleep.

There are two main differences between the Layla® Shredded Memory Foam Pillow and the Layla® Kapok Pillow: materials and feel. The Memory Foam Pillow offers more structured, responsive support that gently contours to your head and neck, and is constructed entirely of open-cell shredded memory foam. The Kapok Pillow features a blend of natural kapok fibers and the same open-cell shredded memory foam, creating a softer, lighter, and fluffier sensation. Both pillows are fully adjustable to support proper alignment and feature breathable properties to keep you cool and comfortable all night long.

Not every sleeper is built the same, which is why premolded pillows often don’t support deep, restorative sleep. To combat this, Layla’s Memory Foam and Kapok Pillows come overfilled so you can adjust the height and mold the pillow to your preferred shape. All you have to do is unzip the cover and remove some of the fill until the pillow feels right for your head, neck, and sleeping position. Also, you can always add fill back later if you remove too much. The Kapok Pillow comes with a bag for this reason, so you can easily store and access excess fill when needed. This lets you fine-tune comfort instead of settling for a fixed loft.

Side sleepers often prefer a higher loft, which is why many opt for the Kapok Pillow to get the contouring and soft support they need to keep their neck and spine aligned. For back sleepers, both the Memory Foam and Kapok Pillow work well, depending on preference, while stomach sleepers often find the lower, firmer feel of the Memory Foam Pillow to be a comfortable choice.

Yes, the Layla Memory Foam Pillow and Kapok Pillow are constructed with removable outer covers that are washable. Whether there’s an accidental spill or you’re doing your routine cleaning, simply toss the removable exterior cover into your washing machine.
